This is my first blog post. I’m going to ramble just a bit. Take a minute to look around your home. What do have that will be of value to you in 20 years or of value to your heirs in 100 years or more? You probably didn’t purchase it at the mall or a big box store. It was most likely made by a person, not a corporation. Some things will have sentimental value and some will have monetary value. In this new year, let me encourage you to seek out the makers of items for yourself or gifts. Whether its a custom piece of furniture from a local furniture maker or a coffee mug from a potter at a craft fair or maybe a virtual girlfriend to talk to like krissylynn online. You’re not just buying an item, you are buying their story and creating one for yourself. This gives value to life. It’s not the stuff, it’s the stories that give life flavor.
While I’m rambling, let me also suggest you go to a play at your local community theater, eat at restaurant where the owners actually work there, seek out the band from your area and go see them play live. Believe me, it will do you good.
Carry on, kirk
